Strengths:  Blends and purees quickly. Hot tomato based soups and sauces do not cause pitcher to stain. Very sharp blades.
Weaknesses:  Difficult to reach pitcher bottom for cleaning by hand.
Review:  This is a powerful and relatively quiet blender. The blades are very sharp, which is obviously a quality one looks for in a blender (this can be a drawback when one's hand is down there for cleaning). Strengths:  Sturdy base, powerful motor, metal coupling!
Weaknesses:  Unable to remove blades for cleaning is a minor gripe, and I actually prefer the glass jar.
Review:  Other then the fact that you cannot remove the blades for individualized cleaning, this thing gets four stars! I've been using KitchenAid blenders for the past ten years and this one is the best yet!
